My Experience:
I personally loved this protein treatment. A lot of people are turned off by protein treatments because they don't understand them. When you use any protein treatment it isn't a deep conditioner and should not be used like one. A protein treatment should only be used at the most once every two weeks. If you use it any more than that it will be too much for your hair and make your hair course. It is not going to make your hair very soft like you get with deep conditioners but it will strengthen and help protect your hair from coloring and heat. It also is great for shine! I suggest using the Protein re builder and then deep conditioning 3 or 4 days later.

Since you only can use this product every two weeks I suggest getting the small packets. It is a fairly good price and you don't have to find a place to add another bottle of hair products (A problem I have). Be prepared for the smell as it reminds me of public bathroom soap. It is a bit on the strong side.

Directions say to "Shampoo and towel dry hair. Apply small amount of this concentrated pH balanced formula to hair and distribute evenly. Allow to remain on hair 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly."
Since I am not very good at following directions I added a little over half the packet to my hair. I separated my hair into layers and put it in so I could have it evenly distributed. I then pulled my hair up and put my heating cap on. I probably kept the heating cap on for about 30 minutes before going to wash it out (I don't remember how long since I was watching Toy Story 3). I found the results to be amazing. My hair defiantly looked and felt more healthy and strong. It also had a nice shine to it.
I need to add that I think this product is better for fine hair since I have read reviews of woman with courser hair not getting the results they wanted. I also think that people expect it to be a deep conditioner and it's not.

Where To Buy and Cost:
Ion Re constructor Treatment can be found at Sally Beauty Supply in 1oz packets for about $2 or 16 oz containers for about $10.
